Please find below the steps to archive your mailbox. With this you can free up the mail box size on Exchange server.

 
To Archive Emails

1.     In outlook, go to file, Archive, choose folder (Mailbox-Your Name)

2.     Select Archive this folder and all Subdirectories

3.     Set the date in “Archive items older than”

4.     Click browse to the save the archived file, type the filename.pst  (by default archive.pst)

5.     Ok
